Rebecca Hopkins is one of the wine industry’s best-known and most experienced wine communications strategists, who has worked with some of the world’s most notable fine wine brands. A noted speaker, she has given keynote speeches in the U.S., Italy and Australia, and she’s also moderated numerous panels, hosted events across the U.S., and written numerous articles.
Australian by birth (and temperament), she arrived in the U.S. in 2007, to take the role of Vice President of Public Relations and National Events for Constellation Brands. There she worked to promote wines of all levels. Rebecca also established key relationships within the American media, which she maintains today.
Five years later, she joined national fine wine importer, Folio Fine Wine Partners, to take charge of the U.S. market communications strategy and programming for their agency’s 20+ family-owned producers.
Today Rebecca is the principal of her own communications consultancy, working with clients such as the Champagne Charles Heidsieck, Biondi Santi, and Quintessa Estate, among many others. Rebecca also works within related sectors such as hospitality, hotels, and even tea. Her specialties are brand storytelling, digital media, crisis communications, and building consumer connections.
In 2018, Rebecca founded A Balanced Glass, a website and community that focuses on staying safe and well when working with alcohol. Her ground-breaking work has been featured in Food & Wine, Forbes.com, Wine Enthusiast magazine, and she has been recognized by Wine Business Monthly, and Seven Fifty Daily as a wine industry leader.
